Eastside Plan

Redevelopment Plan
The Village of Romeoville was recently awarded a 2011 Community Planning Grant from the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA). This grant will help the Village develop a plan for the east side of Romeoville. Staff believes that the new Metra station will spur development and redevelopment of this area. This plan will help guide and shape that development in the years to come. The total project cost is set at $100,000. The Village is required to provide 20% as a local match. The RTA will provide $80,000 and the Village will be responsible for $20,000.

The Village has selected Teska & Associates as the lead consultant on this project. Market Research is being completed by Gruen & Gruen and a Fish Transportation Group is completing a Transportation Study.
