Golden age club

     This group meets every Thursday at the Romeoville Recreation Center from noon to 4:00pm. Transportation is available by calling a minimum of 48 hours beforehand. Members must be 55 years young to join — stop by Thursday for our meeting. Join us and make some new friends! Any member of the Golden Age Club will receive a $2 discount off non-contractual trips. Must show badge to receive discount.  
 

tuesday NICKEL RAFFLe MANIA

     From 10:00am-1:00pm bring your change and your friends to enjoy this fabulous new game! Must be 18 years or older to participate. Coffee will be served.


Wednesday drop in day


Join active adults for dominoes, cards, and board games with conversation. Please bring a dish to pass.

Fall Prevention - October 18
Falls aren’t just a normal part of getting older, they are preventable and there are some simple steps you can take to stay independent longer. Come listen to “Right at Home” give tips on how to live a safer life. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

30th Annual Senior Bowling Olympics - November 3
Event includes three games of scratch bowling, awards, and lunch (shoe rental not included) at Strike ‘N Spare in Lockport. To register for Lunch only - code 17F539 (Fee: $12/R - $12/NR).

Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research - November 9
For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to optimize our physical and cognitive health as we age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. Light snacks and coffee will be provided.

Rules of the Road - November 16
The Rules of the Road Review Course is designed to give drivers – especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities – the knowledge and confidence needed to renew or obtain a driver’s license. 

 Age: 50 and up   Fee: FREE     Time: 1:30pm


Christmas Cookie Decorating - December 20
Spend the day with Natalie decorating Christmas Sugar Cookies to take home and enjoy. All supplies and coffee will be provided, but you can bring your own supplies, too!
