GYMNASTICS AAU OPTIONAL TEAM COACH

The Romeoville Recreation Department is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable optional level coach for the 2020/2021 AAU competitive season. Job responsibilities will include making lesson plans, coaching/spotting gymnasts, choreographing optional routines, and other team duties as assigned. Training and assistance will be provided but experience with AAU optional rules, deductions, and requirements are preferred. 

Qualified applicant must be 18 years or older and available to work nights and weekends.

Park Maintenance – Seasonal Part-Time

The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is hiring seasonal staff for the upcoming 2020 season. Candidates must be detail minded and energetic individuals Responsibilities will include: Ball field preparation, string trimming, playground repair, and various park maintenance tasks.  

Employment will be from now thru November, 35-40 hrs per week. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $12.00 per hour.

DANCE INSTRUCTOR – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is currently seeking experienced, highly motivated, energetic, and self-sufficient dance instructors. Ability to effectively communicate with participants, parents, and staff is crucial. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to; lesson planning, maintaining accurate records, following all safety procedures and instructing a combination of lower level ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap classes. BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE  – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking caring and responsible Before and After School Instructors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising school aged children kindergarten to 5th grade or preschool aged 3 to 5 years old, plan and implement program activities, adhere to the safety guidelines of the program, and must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude. Hours: Before Care: 6:30am-9:00am and/or After Care: 3:00pm-6:30pm   Days available: Monday through Friday

Hours: Before Care: 6:50am-9:00am and/or After Care: 3:00pm-5:30pm   Days available: Monday through Thursday, and every other Friday

YOUTH PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS  – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a multitalented Youth Program Instructor. The Youth Program Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing a diverse set of youth general interest programs. Topics of instruction can include arts and crafts, drawing, painting, photography, calligraphy, STEM, fishing, and more! Individuals must have the ability to adapt to the needs of different age groups and have experience working with children in an enrichment setting. Applicants should possess a fun, creative, and outgoing personality with the ability to inspire creativity and confidence. Class days and times can vary but will likely be set during after school/evening hours and potential evenings. SITE SUPERVISORS

Applicants should have general knowledge of rules for athletics leagues run by Recreation Departments, including basketball, volleyball, and slow-pitch softball. The purpose of this position is to assist the Athletic Supervisor with athletic league operations. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to; maintaining official records and time/score keeping of athletic leagues or programs, operating official scoreboards, assisting instructors with the set-up and clean-up of programs, setting up facility either indoors or outdoors for athletic leagues or programs. Tasks are regularly performed in safe and comfortable surroundings indoors with some exposure to heat and sun outdoors.
