This state certified 32-hour (4-day) course will provide students the skills needed to perform trench & excavation rescues. Students will receive classroom instruction on OSHA trench regulations, soil types, hazards, collapse patterns, etc. The rest of the course will have students performing hands-on evolutions on securing the scene, hazard analysis, constructing shoring systems, patient packaging, and more. All evolutions will be performed in live trenches, giving the most realistic training available The state exam will be given on the last day of the course.
