The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to give citizens of the community a working knowledge of the Romeoville Police Department. It is hoped that this program will allow participants to get to know the members of the Police Department better, and that through this personal contact, better understand how and why officers make the decisions they do. The first class begins on March 9, 2021 and meets each subsequent Tuesday for 12 weeks from 6:30 ­- 9:30 p.m. Due to COVID, masks will be required and the class size is limited to 10 participants so we can maintain social distancing in the classroom environment. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applications are due by March 2, 2021 Applications are available at www.romeoville.org or at the Police Department.
