The Romeoville Recreation Department is hosting CLUE: WHERE IS ROMEO EDITION. Help us find our beloved Romeo the Raccoon. Use the police evidence and breaking news below to get started! Don’t forget to use your Detective’s Notebook while searching for your next clue. When you have solved the mystery, submit your answers to nbowling@romeoville.org for a chance to win a prize.
Evil Dr. Covid sent the Rec Department a letter saying that Romeo Racoon is missing and one of the staff might even be involved! Everyone has been cooped up inside for so long, no one noticed that he has been missing or that one of their own could be behind it! The Rec Department staff would much rather be planning the summer concerts, park parties, baseball, art classes, fitness classes and much more instead of having to solve this mystery!
Do you think you have the detective skills to help the Rec Department figure out who is working with Dr. Covid? Who did it? Where did they do it? What tool did they use to help? Clues will be hidden along the bike path starting at Mather Park (735 N Sunrise Dr) with stops at Lake Strini (524 W. Belmont Dr.), O’Hara Woods (524 W. Belmont Dr.), The Front of the Recreation Center (900 W. Romeo Rd), leading to the Romeoville Toyota Amphitheater (1050 W. Romeo Rd). Make sure you are maintaining appropriate physical and social distancing while you help us investigate! Please do not touch or remove any of the clues!
Do not forget to search high and low for paper clues along the bike path and trails. These clues will mention either a suspect, a location, or a tool that was not used in the crime. You will need to walk, bike, or run on each path to make sure you do not miss any evidence!
If you figure out the mystery of who took Romeo the Racoon, where they took him from and what they used to take him, make sure to e-mail us at nbowling@romeoville.org with your answer and number of detectives in your group. One lucky group will win a surprise. Please DO NOT give away answers as we want everyone to participate! The mystery will be available from May 5th - May 18th. Use the following flyer to check off the clues you find!
