Congratulations to Kristine Wahlgren, Facility Supervisor at the Romeoville Recreation Department, who has received the Professional of the Year Award by the South Suburban Park & Recreation Association (SSPRPA). The award is presented to individuals who demonstrate professionalism, passion and who make a difference in providing recreational programs and facilities to the public. 

“We are very proud that Kristine’s efforts have been recognized. She is a great asset to our Recreation Department staff,” said Mayor John Noak. 

Kristine has been with the Romeoville Recreation Department for 17 years. She has been an active member of SSPRPA Facility Committee for the last 8 years. She currently is the Facility Committee Secretary and plans to run for the Association Secretary position.
