Romeoville Youth Football and Cheerleading invites everyone to come celebrate their inaugural Hall of Fame class on Saturday, September 2nd. The celebration will focus on honoring those who were instrumental in the program. The program traces its roots back to 1965 and its reinvention in 1998.
“Over the years, the program has provided another outlet for youth sports and activities in Romeoville,” noted Mayor Noak. “We are proud to recognize the efforts of the individuals who created and maintained this program. It has been a cornerstone of the community and should be a great ceremony.”
The event will take place at 3:30 p.m., between the first home games of the year at Dale Blum Field, next to the Romeoville Rec Center at 900 W. Romeo Rd. The Hall of Fame inductees will be Bud Watters, Dale Blum Jr., and Dale Blum Sr., for whom the home field of the Spartans is named.
