EARLY CHILDHOOD & YOUTH

Bed Time Buddies and Me - Saturday from 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Come spend time bonding with your child while making the cutest bear you have ever seen! First, we will stuff your new friend, wish upon a star, and think of a unique name to place on his/her birth certificate. After our new bear comes to life, you will design a special T-shirt and soft cuddly blanket to carry your best friend home in. This is the perfect way to enjoy time with your child.
Age: 2 to 8   Fee: $30/R ($21 additional child) - $75/NR ($31 additional child) On 1/27

I Speak Spanish! - Wednesdays from 5:00pm - 5:50pm
Did you know that young children learn language naturally and much more easily than older children and adults? Children will be immersed in the Spanish language through fun and educational activities and music. Each session introduces new and exciting topics!
Age: 3 to 6   Fee: $60/R - $90/NR    2/7 to 3/7

Dinosaurs - Wednesday from 5:00pm - 5:45pm
Live dangerously and look at some dinosaur teeth up close. Junior paleontologists will participate in a miniature dinosaur dig and make our very own replica of a dinosaur tooth. Register by Monday, January 22nd.
Age: 3 to 5   Fee: $14/R - $21/NR     On 1/31

Kinder Kids - Thursdays from 5:15pm - 6:00pm

This remarkable, high energy and educational program enhances critical thinking and public speaking skills while boosting self esteem!  We develop leaders through drama techniques like improvisation, character analysis, creative movement, mini-scripts, and games.  
Age: 3 to 5   Fee: $92/R - $138/NR    1/25 to 3/8

Music Together - Mondays from 10:30am - 11:15am
Nurture your child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement with Music Together’s fun, engaging, and musically diverse experience. The informal instructional style will soon have your entire family singing, dancing, and laughing together! Tuition includes an illustrated songbook, a CD-rom Guide to Music and their Child, a professional CD, an exclusive code for unlimited downloading of the current collection and interactive fun family zone.

ATHLETICS

All-Star Super Sports Parent & Tot - Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 4:00pm (except 18W716 4:00pm - 4:30pm)
Play soccer, basketball, hockey, football, and baseball emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship with your little one.
Age: 2 to 3   Fee: $44/R - $66/NR (18W716 *$49/R - $73/NR)

All-Star Sports Soccer - Fridays (Times Vary)
Learn the basics of soccer like dribbling, passing, and shooting through fun games that keep everyone moving.
Age: 3 to 4   Fee: $44/R - $66/NR (18W712 *$50/R - $75/NR)
Age: 5 to 6   Fee: $44/R - $66/NR (18W713 *$60/R - $90/NR)

Adult Boxing - Fridays from 8:00pm - 9:00pm
This program will go over the basics of boxing, from the jab to combination building self-confidence to succeed in the ring.  There will be light sparring, so participants will have to purchase a mouth guard, hand wraps, and boxing gloves. These items can be purchased the first day of class.  
Age: 15 and up   Fee: $46/R - $72/NR

Youth Boxing Level 1 - Fridays from 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Youth Boxing will go over the basics of boxing, from the jab to combination. This program will build self-confidence while building on the boxing basics to succeed in the ring.  There will be some light sparring, so participants will need a mouth guard ($5), hand wraps ($15), and boxing gloves ($30). These items can be purchased from the instructor the first day of class.

Youth Boxing Level 2 - Fridays from 7:00pm - 8:00pm
This program will continue to work on the skills learned in level 1 and build on your current skills.  Level 2 will prepare your boxer to take that next step into USA.   Level 2 participants will need permission from the instructor.
Age: 6 to 14   Fee: $46/R - $72/NR

Are you passionate about teaching and looking to enrich the lives of children? The Romeoville Recreation Department has an immediate need for a qualified part-time preschool teacher. Applicants should be patient, creative, energetic, and fun individuals to help grow our program. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: instructing children ages 3-5, creating and following curriculum, communication with parents, maintaining a classroom.

GYMNASTICS

Super Tot - Days & Times Vary
This is the first class of structured gymnastics without parent participation. Teachers focus on basic skills, individual movement exploration, following directions, socialization, and physical development.  Child must be potty trained.
Age: 3   Fee: $49/R - $74/NR

Level 1 Tumbling - Sundays from 9:00am - 10:00am and Wednesdays from 4:15pm - 5:15pm
At this level, participants can expect to learn basics and begin a solid foundation for their future tumbling skills.  Some of the skills focused on at this level are: bridge ups, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and beginning stages of bridge kick-overs.  No tumbling experience required for this class.  
Age: 5 to 16   Fee: $59/R - $89/NR

Level 2 Tumbling - Sundays from 10:05am - 11:05am and Thursdays from 4:15pm - 5:15pm
This class is for the beginner to intermediate tumbler.  Skills focused on in this class are: roll combinations, dive rolls, round offs, handstands, back walkovers, and front limbers.  Participants must have teacher recommendation to sign up for this class. 
Age: 6 to 16   Fee: $59/R - $89/NR

CO-ED RECREATIONAL VOLLEYBALL RUNS 1/26 - 3/30

The Co-ed Adult Volleyball league will play on Friday evenings at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center. Bring your friends and see how your team will match up against the competition. Games run from 6:30pm - 9:30pm on Fridays
Age: 18 and up   Fee: $275/R - $375/NR
