Romeoville Recreation Department

Mission Statement:
The Romeoville Recreation Department exists to improve the quality of life of the community by ensuring a variety of leisure time activities. This will be accomplished through integrity, honesty, dedication, expertise, and the vision of each employee.

Letter from the Director:
The Parks and Recreation Department operates to provide fitness, leisure, educational and fun opportunities. We have an array of programs that are second to none and something to suit everyone’s interest, age and ability level. Want to get fit? Come visit our Fit 4 Life fitness center and check out all of the fitness classes we offer. Want to get your child involved in sports? We have everything from gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, karate, dance, and so much more. In addition, we also have preschool and day camp programs. Adults can also enjoy some of these sports as well. Senior and active citizens can participate in various day and extended trips in addition to various educational workshops.

If that’s not enough, we also offer over 30 special events throughout the year and most at no charge. These include movie nights, free concerts, park parties, car shows, two annual craft shows, winter holiday event, an annual festival with carnival (RomeoFest), and much, much more! Stop by our Recreation Center to see for yourself and inquire about programs that will suit you and your family.

The Village of Romeoville also has 31 parks for you to enjoy. A list of parks is included in our seasonal brochure and we’re sure you’ll find one within your neighborhood. We strive to keep our parks clean, well maintained, and updated as possible. We offer park parties during the summer at some of our park sites for you and your children to enjoy and get acquainted with various parks. In addition to our parks, we also have trails for biking and walking.  You will also find a map of our trails in each seasonal brochure.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. weekdays or on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (weekend summer hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m). Our phone number is (815) 886-6222 and our address is 900 W. Romeo Road.
