Cruisin' the Square
Thursday, August 27, 2015, 6 to 9 p.m.
Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center, 55 Phelps
This nostalgic downtown event features a classic car show, food and adult beverages, music, entertainment, inflatables and more! There is no pre-registration required to show your car. Route 66 Car & Bike Show
Sunday, August 30, 2015, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Romeoville High School, 100 N. Independence
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines because the show’s about to begin. That’s right, it’s time for the Route 66 Car Show. Whether you own a car, you are a car enthusiast, or you are simply just looking for a day out on the town, this is one event you cannot miss! This free event has fun that is sure to appeal to all ages! There are many classes of vehicles being show such as classic, customs, antique, muscle, motorcycles, and Jeeps. Creative Play Preschool Open House
Monday, August 31, 2015, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Creative Play provides children with the opportunity to participate in activities which develop them socially, emotionally, and intellectually into a self-assured child. Registration starts Monday, July 13, 2015. Birth certificates are required at the time of registration. A non-refundable deposit ($107 for Romeoville residents; $160 for non Romeoville residents) is due at the time of registration. As a reminder, all children must be toilet trained. We offer three different programs for ages 3-4 years old, three different sessions (morning, afternoon and evening), and an electronic funds transfer payment option. School Spirit Day

Community Day of Play
Saturday, September 12, 2015, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Boucher Prairie Park, 1649 Richfield Trail
Join the Romeoville Recreation Department and the High Point Learning Center for the Community Day of Play.  Some of the activities that will take place are a sling shot launch, children’s play zone, obstacle course, dodge ball, and inflatables. So get up early and stretch them bones for an exciting day of play. Fall Community Garage Sale
Saturday, September 12, 2015, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Register with the Romeoville Recreation Department to be included in a publication of homes participating in the Garage Sale. The publication of homes will be available to pick up at the Recreation Center and Village Hall beginning Wednesday, September 9.  Please return the registration form no later than Friday, August 28.

Founder’s Day Parade
Sunday, September 20, 2015, 2 p.m.
Parade begins at Newland and Belmont and ends in downtown Romeoville.
Show your Romeoville pride at the annual Founder’s Day Parade. Whether you are watching or participating, you are sure to have a great time. All community organizations, clubs, and businesses are encouraged to participate. Show your spirit by decorating your floats/entries around the Music-Music-Music theme. Entry line up is at 1:00pm. Glow-n-Go 5k Walk/Run

Registration and activities begin at Deer Crossing Park, 1050 West Romeo Rd.
The Glow-N-Go 5K Walk/Run is a one-of-a-kind night-time event that is about enjoying the experience with your friends and family. Participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes are welcome and encouraged to be ready to GLOW! Autumn Colors Craft Show
Saturday, October 3, 2015, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
FREE ADMISSION & PARKING! Shop ‘til you drop! There will be 100 booths including, hand crafts, candles, jewelry, crochet, embroidery, floral arrangements, stamped items, pet accessories, hair bows, Tastefully Simple, Party Lite, Pampered Chef and much more.  Admission and parking are free.  Come early and have breakfast at the Razzler’s Dance Team Pancake Breakfast or stop by the Girl Scout bake sale or the Snack Shack concession stand. 21 Years & Older Costume Party (Leave your little monsters at home!)

A fundraiser for the Romeoville Youth Outreach Commission hosted by Mayor John Noak. The Romeoville Youth Outreach Commission is hosting the 5th Annual Costume Party Fundraiser! $20 per person, includes food and beverages. Event includes a costume contest, DJ, dancing, heavy appetizers, beverages, 50/50 raffle, Chinese raffle and photographer. All proceeds will go to the Youth Outreach Commission scholarship fund. Halloween Fest

Once you arrive stop by the candy corn pumpkin patch, trick or treat alien pods, the chilling craft area and the haunted hayride. This is a free event for Romeoville residents.
