Independence Day Celebration
Friday, July 3, 2015, 7-9:15 p.m.
Join the Village of Romeoville for a live band, food, games, and fireworks. All activities are held at Deer Crossing Park (1050 West Romeo Rd.) starting at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks will start promptly at 9:15 p.m. Click here to view the flyer. Movie Under the Stars - The Lego Movie

Kid’s Dip & Dash
Saturday, July 11, 2015, 8-11 a.m.
Heritage Falls Pool (101 Troxel Ave.)
Come join the fun in our 2nd Annual Kid’s Dip and Dash Duathlon. Participants will compete in a swim and run competition with distances that are age appropriate. This event is a great way to get kids to try non-traditional sports. Wave information: Wave #1 (ages 7-10 yrs.) 100 yard swim & .5 mile walk/run. This nostalgic downtown event features a classic car show, food and adult beverages, music, entertainment, inflatables and more! There is no pre-registration required to show your car. The Romeoville Recreation Department and the Lockport Township Park District are bringing tastes, sounds and entertainment from around the world to you! This evening will be filled with inflatables, activities and games from all different countries! From young to old there is something for everyone to enjoy. Route 66 Car & Bike Show

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines because the show’s about to begin. That’s right, it’s time for the Route 66 Car Show. Whether you own a car, you are a car enthusiast, or you are simply just looking for a day out on the town, this is one event you cannot miss! This free event has fun that is sure to appeal to all ages! There are many classes of vehicles being show such as classic, customs, antique, muscle, motorcycles, and Jeeps. Creative Play Preschool Open House
Monday, August 31, 2015, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Creative Play provides children with the opportunity to participate in activities which develop them socially, emotionally, and intellectually into a self-assured child. Registration starts Monday, July 13, 2015. Birth certificates are required at the time of registration. A non-refundable deposit ($107 for Romeoville residents; $160 for non Romeoville residents) is due at the time of registration. As a reminder, all children must be toilet trained. We offer three different programs for ages 3-4 years old, three different sessions (morning, afternoon and evening), and an electronic funds transfer payment option. Community Day of Play
Saturday, September 12, 2015, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Join the Romeoville Recreation Department and the High Point Learning Center for the Community Day of Play.  Some of the activities that will take place are a sling shot launch, children’s play zone, obstacle course, dodge ball, and inflatables.  So get up early and stretch them bones for an exciting day of play.

Fall Community Garage Sale
Saturday, September 12, 2015, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Register with the Romeoville Recreation Department to be included in a publication of homes participating in the Garage Sale. The publication of homes will be available to pick up at the Recreation Center and Village Hall beginning Wednesday, September 9.  Please return the registration form no later than Friday, August 28.

Founder’s Day Parade
Saturday, September 20, 2015, 2 p.m.
Parade begins at Newland and Belmont and ends in downtown Romeoville.
Show your Romeoville pride at the annual Founder’s Day Parade. Whether you are watching or participating, you are sure to have a great time. All community organizations, clubs, and businesses are encouraged to participate. Show your spirit by decorating your floats/entries around the Big Top Circus theme. Entry line up is at 1:00pm. Glow-n-Go 5k Walk/Run

The Glow-N-Go 5K Walk/Run is a one-of-a-kind night-time event that is about enjoying the experience with your friends and family. Participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes are welcome and encouraged to be ready to GLOW!
