Daddy-Daughter Ball
Saturday, February 4, 2012
6:00-9:00pm

It’s your chance to get all dressed up girls! Dads, bring your daughter(s) age 3 to 10 out for a special night of fun! At the ball you will enjoy dinner, drinks, cookies, and dancing the night away! Your daughter(s) will also make a special Valentine’s Day craft to bring home. Capture this special night with a picture of you and your daughter(s) taken at the ball. Fee per dad and daughter couple is $24/Romeoville resident or $36/non resident, and includes dinner, drinks, cookies, craft, and a picture. Additional daughter is $10/Romeoville resident or $15/non resident. Pre-register by January 13th. Pre-registration is required; no registration will be taken at the event. Sports Cards and Collectables Show

9:00am-3:00pm

If you are an avid sports, comic, or role playing game card collector, stop by the Romeoville Recreation Department for a mecca of trading cards. All ages are welcome! Admission is $1. Adults age 16 and up who are interested in becoming a card show vendor can fill out a registration form and return it with the $25 vendor fee no later than Friday, February 10th. Recreation Department’s Open House

6:00-9:00pm

Living, working, and recreating GREEN! This year’s Open House will focus on GREEN initiatives, education and demonstrations for a more sustainable life. The event will also feature recreation program demonstrations, registration for spring programs and information booths from community organizations. Isshin-Ryu Karate, Romeoville Razzlers Dance Team, and Romeoville Tumbleweeds Gymnastics Team will be featured during this event. Fit 4 Life Fitness Center and Jungle Safari Indoor Playground will be open – no admission will be charged. Inflatables, entertainment, GREEN activities and giveaways are all part of this exciting event. Stop by and see what the Village of Romeoville and the Community have to offer! Breakfast with the Bunny and Egg Hunt

Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be joining the Recreation Department for breakfast and you’re invited too! Breakfast with the Bunny is the one-stop place for all your bunny-themed activities – get your picture taken with a bunny, play in the inflatables or just come for the breakfast – whatever you’re here for, you’re guaranteed to have a good time! Pre-registration is required for Breakfast with the Bunny and participants must pre-register by Friday, March 23rd. Fees for children age 1 to 16 are $11/Romeoville resident or $17/non resident; fee for adults age 17 and up are $7/Romeoville resident or $10/non resident. Children under one-year old are free. All children must be accompanied by a paid adult. Breakfast will be served until 10:15am. A free outdoor Egg Hunt will begin at 11:15am. Children will search for eggs in separate age groups. Springtide Craft Show

The spring craf
t show features a variety of talented crafters offering many different items for sale. A pancake breakfast, bake sale and concessions are available. There is no admission fee for the public to shop. Crafters interested in displaying items in the craft show can pick up a registration form/contract at the Recreation Center and return it with the applicable fees no later than Monday, April 2, 2012. Each ten- by eight-foot space is $30; eight-foot table is an additional $10. Space is limited and accepted on a first come, first paid basis. Priority registration given to previous crafters. Cinco de Mayo Race

Run/Walk: 6:30pm
Post-Race Party: 7:00pm

Join the race for the 11th annual Cinco de Mayo 5K Run/1 Mile Walk – athletes of all ages are welcome! Register online at www.romeoville.org or pick up a registration form at the Recreation Center. This outdoor event will be held rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Everybody is invited to join the post-race party at Deer Crossing Park which will include authentic entertainment, food, and beverages! Race participation is not mandatory to join in the post-race party. Activities include a DJ, kid’s games, authentic food, adult beverages, and margaritas. Community Garage Sale

Shop the community-wide garage sale! A publication of homes participating in the garage sale will be available at the Romeoville Recreation Department and Village Hall beginning Monday, May 7th. Residents who wish to include their home and For Sale items in the publication must fill out the registration form and return it no later than Friday, April 27th.
