ROMEOVILLE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT
The Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department offers a multitude of events, recreational programs, and community services for residents and visitors to enjoy with the mission of improving the quality of life for all community members. From concerts to carnivals, the Recreation Department hosts over thirty special events for all ages and interests including the Village’s annual festival, RomeoFest. The Recreation Department also offers hundreds of athletic and special interest recreational programs for all age groups as well a variety of community services to better serve residents and visitors.
Since its establishment in 1965 the Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department has continued to evolve alongside its residents. Beginning in a basement office of the Village Hall, and eventually moving into the newly built Romeoville Recreation Center in 1978 the department has continued to grow with the community. In 2001, the Recreation Center fulfilled additions and renovations and reopened as it stands today.

Fit 4 Life Fitness Center NOW OPEN!
The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department will reopen the Fitness 4 Life Fitness Center, at 900 W. Romeo Rd., beginning on Monday, June 29, 2020.
We want to thank the community for their patience, understanding, and support during these uncertain times. You have been greatly missed. In cooperation with the State of Illinois’ Guidelines, the Parks and Recreation Department has made the appropriate changes to operations to keep your workouts safe and clean.

As the first day of summer quickly approaches, the Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department will be moving forward with in-person summer day camp. Registration for “Fun in the Sun” day camp will begin on Thursday, June 4th.
Summer day camp will be held at the Romeoville Recreation Department, located at 900 West Romeo Road, from June 22nd through August 7th from 9am to 4pm. No extended before or after care will be available. Children, ages 5-12, will enjoy daily arts and crafts as well as physically distant games and outdoor activities.

Looking for a special way to celebrate your little one’s birthday? Order one of our custom birthday celebration boxes! Each box will be customized with your child’s name, come loaded with lots of goodies, including a custom coloring booklet, candy, cake mix, frosting, balloons, birthday coupons and more! Each box can be delivered to your home by some of our Rec Department staff, who will be sure to make it a BIG deal!

As we begin Phase 4 of the Reopen Illinois Plan, we are pleased to begin offering in person classes and open the Fit 4 Life Fitness Center.
The Romeoville Village Hall, police station, and recreation center is now open to the public with specialized business hours. To ensure public and staff safety, social distancing and sanitation methods will be instituted, and masks will be required for entry. We ask that all visitors follow directional signage and that sick guests do not enter the facilities.
All three buildings are open Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – noon, will close for cleaning, and then re-open to the public from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to utilize online services when available to avoid in-person traffic.
