Veteran and Service Member Banner Program

Since 2019, the Romeoville Veteran & Service Member Banner Program has recognized the accomplishments of the men and women of the six branches of the armed forces. 

Orders are now being accepted for the 2026 Veteran & Service Member Banner Program. The program is a way to remember, honor, or thank a veteran in your life with a 24” x 62” double-sided vinyl banner that will be displayed on the light poles in the community.

Three banner options are available: 

  1. In Memory
  2. In Honor
  3. Thank You

Banner Locations/Cost:

•    41 spots are available on the grounds of Village Hall from May- Nov. for $50 for new participants and $25 for renewals (provided there are available spaces after first time applicants are accepted into the program. The banner must be in good condition to hang again.)

•    28 spots on Montrose Dr. near Edward “Doc” McCartan Veterans Memorial from May-April for $100 for new participants and $50 for renewals. (provided there are available spaces after first time applicants are accepted into the program. The banner must be in good condition to hang again.)

Program Qualifications:

•    First time applicants will get precedence in the program.

•    Honoree must be a current resident of Romeoville or

•    Honoree is deceased and had previously lived in Romeoville

Part of the proceeds of this program will go towards the Veterans Commission scholarship fund as well as paying for veterans’ assistance programs.

Ordering:

To order a banner, complete the form by Jan. 31, 2026 by clicking here. When paying with a credit card online or over the phone, there is a small processing fee. 

Once the program is filled, any orders will be held for the following calendar year.
