MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Village of Romeoville is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work in the Parks and Recreation Department.  The purpose of this position is to prepare and market public information regarding the department’s programs, events, facilities and other activities, as well as assist with the Village’s website and social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).  Such marketing will consist of news releases, advertisements, e-news, social media, various publications, and more.

The Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development of marketing goals, customer service needs, program surveys, and various department promotions.  The preparation and design of seasonal brochures, flyers, newsletters, certificates, tickets, passes and other printed materials is required.  This position is instrumental in marketing the Village’s special events, including the annual festival (RomeoFest).  The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the special events sponsorship program.  Taking photos and video of programs and events is required.  The hours for this position are generally Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm; however, additional nights and weekends are required as needed for events and programs.  Other duties may be assigned.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design or equivalent experience is required.  Must be able to perform design and layout work.  Experience with In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office is essential.  Candidate must have experience and expertise in editing and writing.  Photography experience preferred.

This is a full-time, non-union position with excellent benefits including IMRF pension.  Salary range is $60,000 to $65,000 depending on qualifications and/or experience.

Responsible for providing child supervision for Romeoville Recreation Center participants for Child Care service. Duties and Responsibilities include: supervise children ages six months and up, act as the Indoor Playground Attendant and supervise participants of the Indoor Playground, create and lead child activities, enforce the policies and rules, cleaning, collecting entry fees, report accidents and incidents, inform parents of program policies and information, develop positive relationships with participants, follow the safety and emergency procedures, attend mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and events, coordinate and supervise party details, such as serving food and refreshments, present opening time and playtime, inform direct supervisor of needed party supplies, set up and cleaning the rooms used for parties, supervise children at the party. BUS DRIVER - PART TIME

Applicants should be responsible, outgoing, and safety conscious to be a driver for our Ride a Around Town Program. We are looking for an experienced driver with an excellent driving record, able to lift 25 to 50 pounds comfortably, experience driving a 15 passenger bus, the ability to take direction, and have a flexible schedule. This position is part-time, approximately 15 to 20 hours a week, work hours may vary. PARK MAINTENANCE – SEASONAL PART TIME

Award winning Recreation Department seeks detail minded, energetic individuals. The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is hiring seasonal staff for the upcoming 2019 season. Responsibilities will include: Ball field preparation, string trimming, playground repair and various park maintenance tasks.  Employees are required to work Romeofest, August 1st thru August 4th 2019. Employment will be from April thru October, 35-40 hrs per week. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license. DANCE INSTRUCTOR – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is currently seeking experienced, highly motivated, energetic, and self-sufficient dance instructors. Ability to effectively communicate with participants, parents, and staff is crucial. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to; lesson planning, maintaining accurate records, following all safety procedures and instructing a combination of lower level ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap classes. BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE  – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking caring and responsible Before and After School Instructors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising school aged children kindergarten to 5th grade or preschool aged 3 to 5 years old, plan and implement program activities, adhere to the safety guidelines of the program, and must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude. YOUTH PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS  – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a multitalented Youth Program Instructor. The Youth Program Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing a diverse set of youth general interest programs. Topics of instruction can include arts and crafts, drawing, painting, photography, calligraphy, STEM, fishing, and more! Individuals must have the ability to adapt to the needs of different age groups and have experience working with children in an enrichment setting. Applicants should possess a fun, creative, and outgoing personality with the ability to inspire creativity and confidence. Class days and times can vary but will likely be set during after school/evening hours and potential evenings. SITE SUPERVISORS

Applicants should have general knowledge of rules for athletics leagues run by Recreation Departments, including basketball, volleyball, and slow-pitch softball. The purpose of this position is to assist the Athletic Supervisor with athletic league operations. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to; maintaining official records and time/score keeping of athletic leagues or programs, operating official scoreboards, assisting instructors with the set-up and clean-up of programs, setting up facility either indoors or outdoors for athletic leagues or programs. Tasks are regularly performed in safe and comfortable surroundings indoors with some exposure to heat and sun outdoors.
