Day camp counselor – SEASONAL

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking fun, outgoing, and caring Day Camp Counselors. Applicants are responsible for developing a safe, fun, and positive environment for participant aged 5 to 12 years old. Responsibilities include: develop, organize, and implement activities and schedule for participants, ensure the overall well-being and safety of program participants, communicate effectively with participants, parents, and coworkers and enforce program rules and regulations. Applicants must be able to work in various working environments (indoor/outdoor), consistently active, and on your feet. Hours vary 6:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. Hours may vary, up to 35 hours a week

Early Childhood Day CAMP COUNSELOR – SEASONAL

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking caring and responsible Early childhood Day Camp Counselors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising children aged 3 to 5 years old, plan and implement program activities, adhere to the safety guidelines of the program, and must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude. Park Maintenance – Seasonal Part-Time

Award winning Recreation Department seeks detail minded, energetic individuals. The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is hiring Seasonal Park Maintenance staff for the upcoming 2021 season.

Responsibilities will include: ball field preparation, string trimming, playground repair, refuse cleanup and various park maintenance tasks. Employment will be from April thru October, 35-40 hrs per week. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

Applicant must have a valid driver’s license. 
Minimum age requirement 18 years old.

Starting rate of pay will be $13.00 per hour.

Birthday partY attendant

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking fun, energetic, responsible staff for providing a memorable and exciting birthday party experience for the Romeoville Recreation Department Birthday Party service. Staff are responsible for leading and the coordination of the birthday parties.

Duties and Responsibilities
include: coordinate party details, such as leading preplanned art and craft activities, serving food and drinks, inform direct supervisor of needed party supplies, set up and clean after parties, supervise children at the party, inform parents of program policies and information, develop positive relationships with guest, follow the safety and emergency procedures, report accidents and incidents, attend mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and events. Staff must be available to work weekends and varying hours.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE  – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking caring and responsible Before and After School Instructors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising school aged children kindergarten to 5th grade or preschool aged 3 to 5 years old, plan and implement program activities, adhere to the safety guidelines of the program, and must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude. Hours: Before Care: 6:30am-9:00am and/or After Care: 3:00pm-6:30pm   Days available: Monday through Friday

Gymnastics Coach

The Romeoville Recreation Department is currently seeking an AAU gymnastics coach with experience in any or all AAU/GIJO compulsory and optional levels.

Job responsibilities will include making lesson plans, coaching/spotting gymnasts, running a team under the direction of the gymnastics supervisor and other team duties as assigned. Training and assistance will be provided but experience with AAU rules, deductions, and requirements are preferred. Must be available to work night and weekends.

YOUTH PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS  – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a multitalented Youth Program Instructor. The Youth Program Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing a diverse set of youth general interest programs. Topics of instruction can include arts and crafts, drawing, painting, photography, calligraphy, STEM, fishing, and more! Individuals must have the ability to adapt to the needs of different age groups and have experience working with children in an enrichment setting. Applicants should possess a fun, creative, and outgoing personality with the ability to inspire creativity and confidence. Class days and times can vary but will likely be set during after school/evening hours and potential evenings. DANCE INSTRUCTOR – PART TIME

The Romeoville Recreation Department is currently seeking experienced, highly motivated, energetic, and self-sufficient dance instructors. Ability to effectively communicate with participants, parents, and staff is crucial. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to; lesson planning, maintaining accurate records, following all safety procedures and instructing a combination of lower level ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap classes.
