The Senior Services of Will County’s Ovation Center project in Romeoville is now officially award winning! The project received an Illinois Real Estate Journals Award for Best Redevelopment/Reuse/Historic – Office at a recent ceremony. The awards highlight outstanding real estate projects in Illinois in a variety of categories. The 127,000 square foot Ovation Center is a one stop shop for seniors, housing everything from exercise classes and a coffee shop to hospice providers and in home care providers. More tenants are joining all the time and village organizations like the Chamber of Commerce and Historical Society will soon move into the space.
“We knew the Ovation Center was a unique concept and one that transformed a large vacant building into a community friendly space,” explained Mayor Noak. “We are thrilled that the judges at RE Journals recognized this as well.”

The Ovation Center beat out four other finalists, all from Chicago, for the award: 500 W. Monroe (offices), The Fields Film Studio Office Suites, The Terminal (science and research campus), and LG Group Headquarters.
In addition, the Romeoville Aquatic Center was a finalist for Best Government/Community Facility and the Hub Group facility at 555.S. Pinnacle Drive was a finalist for Most Significant Lease Transaction.
The Village of Romeoville has been a finalist in many RE Journals categories over the past few years and won Most Significant Lease Transaction in 2021 for the Wayfair project.
