The Romeoville Police Department and Valley View School District recognize the recent disruption in traffic flow occurring in the area of the Dr. James Mitchem Early Childhood Center (753 Dalhart Avenue). The arrival time at the center, between the hours of 9:00 - 9:45 a.m., has increased the amount of vehicle traffic in the area. We are actively engaged in discussions and actions to assist with traffic flow and assure student and traffic safety.
Commuters are encouraged, when possible, to utilize alternative routes while these modifications are made. Families and attendees of the Early Childhood Center are asked to arrive closer to the designated drop off time to alleviate the congestion in the area. We appreciate your patience and ask for your cooperation as we finalize a long-term solution.
