135th Street has been fully reopened.
Public Works will be going around with the chipper this week to take care of downed branches. Please put branches out by the curb and Public Works will come by on your garbage day to take them. Please be sure branches are out by 7 am on your garbage day.
Those that need a cooling shelter can head to the Police Station at 1050 W. Romeo Road.

135th Street remains closed near Homer while ComEd finishes their work—thank you for your understanding.
We’re happy to share that all other roads are now cleared and that our chipper service will continue to make its way through the community all week.
With the hot weather sticking around, the Police Department Community Room is open as a cooling station if you or your neighbors need a break from the heat.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as cleanup continues.

Romeo Road is still closed in both directions at Homer near the ComEd Right of way. ComEd is on site working on the downed power lines.
Romeoville received 4.3" of rain since yesterday and there are currently 1,100 residents without power. If you need a cooling shelter, please go to the Romeoville Police Department (1050 W Romeo Road) or call 815-886-7219.
Public Works will be going around with the chipper today and the next few days. Put downed tree limbs at your curb, but do not block the street or sidewalk.

Romeo Road is closed in both directions at Homer near the ComEd Right of way.
There are still many downed power wires and downed trees. Crews are handling the most dangerous ones first and getting roads cleared. They are working as fast as they can.
Public Works crews will be out with chipper to dispose of any downed tree branches that home owners have. Please bring branches to the curb, but do not block street or sidewalk. The chipper will be out for the next few days doing cleanup.
Please be advised more rain coming. If anyone needs a shelter due to the power outages, please go to the Romeoville Police Station at 1050 w Romeo Road.
