The Romeoville Village Board has entered into an agreement with Valley View School District to establish a before and after school program for preschool age children at the Early Childhood Center. It will be similar to the program and agreement that is already in place with R.C. Hill Elementary. The Recreation Department will provide activities and programs for children who have reached the age of 3. The agreement will begin with the upcoming school term and continue until the end of the following school year. It will be renewed annually unless terminated.
“Not only will this program greatly assist working parents, but it will provide more activities and enriching experiences outside of the school day,” pointed out Mayor John Noak.
The program, known as the Butterfly Club, will operate from 7:00 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. on each full school day that Valley View Early Childhood Center has student attendance. For full details on fees and requirements, to sign up, or for questions, please call the Romeoville Recreation Center at 815-886-6222.
