[ARCHIVED] Hot Wheels Legends Tour Coming to Romeoville

Hot Wheels

Is your car the next Hot Wheels? The Hot Wheels Legends Tour will be pulling into Romeoville on Saturday, July 13 in search of a custom car that will be turned into a Hot Wheels 1:64 die-cast car and inducted into the Garage of Legends. The 18 finalists (one from each city on the tour) will meet in Las Vegas for the 2019 SEMA Show (automotive specialty products trade show) and go head to head for the chance at toy immortality.

The Romeoville event will be held at Walmart (420 N. Weber Rd.) from 8 a.m. – noon. Check out the life-sized Hot Wheels fleet of cars, historical die-cast display, kid zone, car and pop culture influencers, plenty of photo ops, and of course the contestant cars themselves.

“We’re incredibly excited that such an iconic brand has chosen Romeoville as one of their stops this year,” said Mayor Noak. “How exciting would it be to have a vehicle from Romeoville be sold around the world as a Hot Wheels car?”
