[ARCHIVED] Waste Management Resumes Large Item Pickup, Chipper Makes Rounds Week of May 11

Garbage Truck NF

Waste Management has announced they will be re-starting their large item pickup service on Monday, May 11th. For the time being, only one large item per house per week will be picked up. This limitation is to ensure collection teams can complete all core services each week.

Additionally, while Romeoville’s traditional “Spring Cleanup Week” has been canceled, the chipper service will be coming around the week of May 11th. This service will stop by on your regularly scheduled garbage day and should only be used to dispose of yard waste that does not conform to Waste Management’s standards, which include:

  • Brush and branches must measure less than three inches in diameter.
  • Branches must be bundled with string or twine, lengths 4’ or less, branches of 3” diameter or less, bundle total weight of 50 lbs. or less.
