A concept plan has been submitted for a three-tenant shopping center to be located on the southwest corner of the Weber Road & Walmart access road intersection. Arby’s would be the anchor and would feature a drive thru, while Wingstop would be the second tenant. The third spot, potentially another restaurant, has yet to be announced.
“Despite the national recession we continue to see new investment in Romeoville,” stated Mayor John Noak. “This development will join several other recent projects on the Weber Road Corridor including Advanced Care Medical, Popeyes, Jiffy Lube and the Seasons of Romeoville.”
The Arby’s and Wingstop building will be 5,269 square feet and include 31-36 parking spaces. The project will occupy one of the remaining outlots in the Romeoville Crossing Shopping Center, joining Firestone and the Presence Healing Arts Pavilion. Other projects slated for this corridor include the purchase and redevelopment of the Target building by Will County Senior Services. The Village of Romeoville anticipates additional new development announcements for the Weber Road and Route 53 Corridors still this year.
