Summer in Romeoville would not be complete without an end of summer festival and the Village plans to give residents a weekend to remember.
Earlier this year, Mayor John Noak announced that the Village would be celebrating Founder’s Day a little differently with a throwback to the original Founder’s Day Weekend. This multi-day event is scheduled for September 16 through September 19 at Deer Crossing Park and will feature live music, art displays, food trucks, children’s activities, a parade, fireworks, and more.
“We are proud to host this entertainment weekend that will not only bring excitement to our community, but also celebrate some important pieces of it” said Noak. “Each day residents can look forward to a new festivity, beginning with a celebration of Mexican Independence Day and ending with our Founder’s Day Parade, which looks to celebrate the superhero in all of us.”
This event is sponsored by our Premier Event Sponsor, CITGO. Additional information about the Founder’s Day Entertainment Weekend and other upcoming programs and events will be available on our website and on social media.
