The Romeoville Police Department serves a population of approximately 40,000 residents, living in a 5.1 square-mile area. The Romeoville Police Department employs 71 sworn police officers who work in 16 different specialized units.

Starting Annual Salary (2 years experience): Without Degree: $82,959 With Degree/Military: $89,188
After three years of service: Without Degree: $87,110 With Degree/Military: $93,546
After four years of service: Without Degree: $91,262 With Degree/Military: $97,908
After five years of service: Without Degree: $95,624 With Degree/Military: $102,680
After six years of service: Without Degree: $100,191 With Degree/Military: $109,948
After seven years of service: Without Degree: $104,967 With Degree/Military: $115,345
After eight years of service: Without Degree: $110,065 With Degree/Military: $120,942

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
All employees must reside within 35 miles of the Village of Romeoville limits after probation time has ended.
