Romeoville is Expanding its Fun Filled Event Line-Up in 2026!

Highlights Posted on February 04, 2026

From record-breaking crowds to unforgettable experiences, 2025 proved to be a great year for Romeoville’s special events and 2026 is planned to be even better!  “We built incredible momentum in 2025 and we’re ready to make 2026 even more exciting,” said Mayor Noak.

Romeoville has set the stage for another remarkable year with over 60 events. From fan favorites to exciting new additions, this year’s lineup is designed to bring the community together like never before. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store.

    RomeoFest - August 6–9

o    Romeoville’s biggest celebration returns, drawing over 50,000 attendees over four days of live music, food, carnival rides and so much more! This year, expect an even bigger experience with two major headlining bands including the legendary Jefferson Starship! …and look for the second headliner announcement in March.

Rockin’ the Ville Concert Series - June – September

o    Back by popular demand, we’re turning up the volume on these free concerts with an all-time high 11 incredible shows throughout the season.

    3rd of July Fireworks

o    2026 will feature two simultaneous fireworks shows that will be bigger than ever! Our team spent the off-season testing sites to ensure maximum viewing coverage for the updated shows. The launch points for this year’s patriotic celebration will be Village Park and Discovery Park.

Romeoville Festival of Lights - November 18–January 3

o    The most magical time of the year just got brighter! With an expanded light display and the beloved Winter Wonderland weekend (Dec. 4–5), this event continues to draw thousands for holiday cheer. Adding to last year’s success, this year there will be two ice rinks, two train rides, and additional trollies at Winter Wonderland, reducing wait times and making sure everyone can experience the fun!

And that’s not all. This year brings exciting new experiences to Romeoville! We’re adding events to the calendar that promise fun and unforgettable memories for everyone. Mark your calendars for these can’t miss additions.

    Bluebell Festival – May 2

o    Celebrate the blooming of the bluebells in O’Hara Woods with food trucks, guided hikes, and other events and presentations.

    Route 66 Car Show – September 12

o   What better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic road than with a car show!

The Great Fall Gathering – October 10

o    Enjoy live music and fun food at this event designed to introduce you to new people and break bread with your neighbors. Bring your friends and take a seat at one of the long tables that encourages networking on a cozy fall night out.
