The Village of Romeoville’s Parks & Recreation Department wants to thank the residents and community for attending RomeoFest 2017! The year’s festivities kicked off with a brand new Food Fest 1 Mile  Race – bringing out almost 100 participants! Live musical performances on the Toyota Main Stage included 7th Heaven, The Boy Band Night, The Hair Band Night, Deacon Blues, 97Nine, The RHS Alumni Band, Nick Lynch, and Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press. “Our sense of community means a lot at the Village; the Parks and Recreation Department works very hard to make sure everyone can have a memorable time at RomeoFest,” stated Mayor John Noak.

Highlights from the Joliet Junior College Family Stage include a variety of family entertainers with exotic animals, magic, game shows, educational shows, photo opportunities with popular characters, and laser tag. All Around Amusements offered a safe, clean and affordable array of rides and games for all ages to enjoy. “Families look forward to RomeoFest every year and we try to ensure they are impressed with cleanliness and safety while offering great entertainment, delicious food and two nights of fireworks,” noted Noak.

The sponsorships of RomeoFest are vital to the continued fun at RomeoFest. “RomeoFest is not just a four day festival of music, food and fun — many of our residents consider this a tradition,” observed Kelly Rajzer, Director of Park & Recreation. “Sponsorships and community support from so many generous companies, volunteers from the local organizations, and extra hours from all Village employees make this festival run smoothly,” stated Rajzer. Sponsors included Thomas Toyota (Main Stage), Joliet Junior College (Family Stage), Citgo Refinery (Fireworks), Michael’s Pizza (Band, Volunteer, Staff food), Atheltico and Romeoville Dental (Food Fest 1 Mile), On the Rocks of Romeoville (Adult Bags Tournament), Hitchcock Design Group (Adult Softball Tournament), Hampton Park Social Athletic Club, Honda of Joliet, Joliet Slammers Baseball, Xfinity Comcast, All Around Amusements, Aryzta Foods, Bowlero, Chiro One Wellness Center, Costco of Bolingbrook, Kelmscott Communications, Passanante's Home Food Services, Robinson Engineering, Romeoville Dental, Romeoville Weight Loss, Save On Magazine, Speer Financial, The Bugle, Tracy, Johnson & Wilson, Valley View Dental, TCC Verizon Wireless, J.
