    1. COVID-19 SURVEY:
      Testing and Vaccines

      Village of Romeoville
    2. Description:
The Village of Romeoville strives to ensure a safe working environment for our employees. As the COVID-19 vaccines continue to be distributed throughout the State, our Fire Department is working on our behalf to help bring vaccines to our community. They continue to work on the taskforce with County officials to coordinate vaccination opportunities within the County. In addition, they have requested authorization to test and vaccinate Village employees. If approved, we will need data to formulate a strategy to move forward.

The Village of Romeoville is not mandating our employees to be vaccinated. This decision is yours and should be made by you and your health care provider.

To help coordinate this task, we are asking employees to complete a short survey to help gage interest for the vaccine. The survey is not your commitment to receive the vaccine or a guarantee that you will receive the vaccine, but rather it is giving us a number of likely participants when planning dosage, locations, etc.

We encourage anyone interested in receiving the vaccine to continue to seek other opportunities from your County Health Department, physician, or local pharmacy.

All survey responses are confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of prioritizing and scheduling vaccinations. If approved, the COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed based on CDC guidelines. Individuals will be identified to receive the vaccine based on risk status and occupation.

Until the vaccine is widely available, we all need to continue following critical public health protocols. Wear a mask in public, maintain at least six feet of distance from others, wash your hands often, and stay home when you are sick.
